Quick Tip #1.........Eggs!

When you cook your eggs in boiling water, add a little olive oil too. It will make peeling them super easy and the olive oil adds a nice, subtle flavor to the egg also. Don't do this, however, if you are making hard boiled eggs to dye. The oil will repel the vinegar in the dye. Works great for everyday hard or soft-boiled eggs, though!

  1. We have chickens. I really struggle with hard boiled eggs because our eggs are so fresh that the shells stick like glue. I make my eggs the Ina Garten/Martha Stewart way putting them in cold water, bringing to nice boil, turning off and letting them sit. Then bringing them to the sink and putting ice water on them. This works great with store purchased eggs but not fresh farm eggs like ours. I'll try the olive oil. Hope it works.
